The 9th Music Awards of Nagaland organised by Native Trax Society was held on Monday, Dec. 11 at Hotel Acacia Dimapur. Winners of the 9th Music Awards Of Nagaland are: Best Gospel song- Pezet Newme (My Lord) Best Gospel (local dialects)- Temsumongba Ozukum (Krista nemdang tenungsang agutsudi) Best Rock alt/Soft- Benathung Humtsoe (We Raise our hands up) Best Rock metal/heavy -Powerfaith (Life) Best Rock (Indie) - Medo Kense ( But I) Best Pop (male)- Kubanglung Pamei (Call my name) Best Pop (local dialects)- The finalist (Yeh Safar) Best Pop (female)- Arola Jinger (Summer song) Best Hip hop /rap -Cusui rhakho (Blessings) Best Instrumental- D Boy (No regret) Best EDM -Kekhrie Ringa (Destination) Best Folk fusion- Colored Keys (Warrior’s call) Best Producer- Colored Keys (Warrior’s call) Best Songwriter- Powerfaith (Life) Best Music Video and Best Director- Tsungchilong Long character (We’ve got love) Best Sound Engineer- Temjen Jamir (life, power faith) Patron Award Merangtsungba Aier, Director, Social Welfare department Song of the year- Tutu Terhuja (If) The Finalist who were awarded for Best Pop (local dialects) stated that it was an honour for them to be awarded with the 9th MAN 2017 and what made is special was to receive the award on the same stage and hall where they first stood up and performed during their stint as contestants during the 2nd session of Naga Hindi Voice.
