Kohima, June 23 (EMN): Musicians Guild Nagaland through its sixth edition of World Music Day in aid of Covid relief, have raised total amount of INR 2,06544, the money of which would go to Covid-19 patients who are financially weak.
The guild has earlier announced to host a virtual relief concert on June 21 in order to raise funds from free will doners as a gesture to do their part in alleviating the pain of those who are suffering.
All proceeds from the event would go towards providing relief and support to covid patients from financially poor families who are struggling to fight against this pandemic, informed Musicians Guild President Mele Pucho.
He said that discussions are going on with hospitals in Kohima, Dimapur, Mokokchung and Tuensang to identify beneficiaries.
The association has also given away MG Music Awards' to musicians and artists in various categories during the concert, he said.
The one hour twenty minutes virtual show which was live streamed on Musicians Guild NL YouTube channel garnered over six thousand audience.
