Kisama, Dec. 9 (EMN): Musicians enthrall visitors and passers-by at Kisama as they play keyboard and saxophone on the ninth day of the Hornbill Festival here at Kisama on Friday.
Located near Pochury Morung, the music corner’s main aim was to entertain visitors, stalls, and galleries. It was initiated by Brillante and supported by department of Tourism and Task Force for Music and Arts (TaFMA).
Anguno Tase (on keyboard) and Vikehiezo Savi (on Saxophone) played the instruments on Friday by enthralling visitors at Kisama.
“Everyday different pianists come and play for the whole day or half day. Most of the musicians are from Kohima and sometimes tourists would also come and play the keyboard for a few minutes,” Tase informed adding, “It’s difficult to engage musicians on a daily basis because they have prior engagements and students are having examinations.”
She informed that they were able to find about five musicians for the ten day event. Some would perform twice/ thrice while some performed for a single day. As for Tase, she played on the fourth and the ninth day.
She further added that musicians are getting INR 6000 for entire day performance, which starts from around 11 am to 5 pm (or till the evening concert starts).
