
Hundreds of music lovers’ flock to the Heritage as celebrated Naga musician performed at the 2nd edition of “World Music Day 2017” on Wednesday at the Heritage, Old DC Bungalow, Kohima.

The event was presented by Symphony Production/ Symphony Academy of Music in collaboration with Indihut, SAN Production, Support and Kohima Music Community.

Search and Found (SFN) band from Dimapur, the winners of the last year’s Hornbill

International Rock Contest rocked the stage as they performed their original gigs and cover songs. The band let along the audience sing as they performed the cover song “Sex on fire”.
Virie also performed her original song “down the road” as the crowd swayed together to her song.

Other local bands-Mengu Suokhrie, Polar Lights, Lords of Rock, Technicolors, Pezet & Vikhrie, Bokato, Tuden, Metet Jamir, Kusazo, and Jonathan Yhome also performed at the show.

DK’s Entertainment: Joining along with the rest of the world, DK’s Entertainment celebrated 2nd edition of World Music Day on Wednesday evening under the theme “peace and harmony through music” at State Academy Hall, Kohima. The event was supported by the Fun Tree Crew and Chromatic Clef.

Mengu Suokhrie performed her original song “you are mine” and amused the crowd, while solo artists Moko Koza, Ato Nienu, Dziesekhrienuo Keretsü, Supong etc and bands such as N.T Dote, Variants, Avenue, Woodland, Renovate etc performed on stage.
Khrievotuo Sekhose, program co-ordinator of the DK’s Entertainment said the show was to promote the local talents who are not getting their platform to showcase their talent. He said the DK entertainment reaches out to the people through music and such a platform is the best place for local artist to showcase their talents.

He also informed that in the coming days, DK entertainment will reach out to more underprivileged musician to the platform.
Wokha: With the rest of the World-for the love of music-Wokha district today joined to witness “World Music day” with live show experience at Likya Community Hall and Don Bosco Youth centre with local musicians performing and special performance from Meghalaya band “Light After Dark” a visually challenged band at Don Bosco Youth Center Wokha. Likya Community Hall witnessed the following artist: Soloists-Shanchobeni Kikon, Senka Kikon, Chumjanbeni, Emilo Kinghen, with Voice of Wokha winners and finalist- Lobeno Tungoe, Thungrhoni Ngullie, Ethungbeni Yanthan & Tumchobeni Mozhui.
Unplugged: Steve & Ren, Audio Script & Tumchobeni Mozhui.
