- DIPHU — Rupsing
Tisso (35), who was accused of murdering his wife Anjali Teronpi with a machete
on May 22 in Langsoliet's Bura Teron village under the Borlangpher Police
Station in Karbi Anglong, Assam, was found dead in a semi decompose
condition.
- According to a police official, Rupsing Tisso's dead body
was found by local residents from a jungle on Sunday morning, 2 km from his
residence, following foul smell in the area. It was informed that a handmade
gun was also found near his body and suspected to be a case of suicide.
- The body was taken to Diphu Medical College and Hospital for
autopsy and later handed over to the family after completion of legal
formalities, police said.

- It was suspected that Rupsing attacked his wife Anjali from
behind with a dao (machete) while she was preparing food in the kitchen,
causing fatal injuries to her head and hand. She died on the spot. The reason
behind the attack was not known.
- In this connection, a complaint has been filed with the
Borlangpher Police Station.
