A free cancer screening and multispecialty health camp was held at GMS Mima, providing consultations to over 250 residents.

DIMAPUR — A free cancer screening and multispeciality health camp was conducted at the Government Middle School (GMS), Mima, Kohima, on July 12.
With 258 registrations, a total of 296 free consultations were provided across various specialities, including obstetrics and gynaecology, medicine, surgery, and dental services, stated an update.
Additionally, 194 free cancer screenings (for oral and cervical cancer), 76 ultrasound scans, 20 minor general and dental procedures, and 28 blood tests were performed, alongside the distribution of free medicines.
The programme started with a welcome address by Project Coordinator Kelekhono Chase, followed by a briefing on the camp by Dr. Kezevituo Keditsu, founding Trustee of the Dr. K & T Keditsu Foundation.

An oral health and cancer awareness session was conducted by Dr. Keduovinuo Keditsu Chielie, a cancer surgeon, followed by a vote of thanks proposed by Mima Village Health Committee Chairman Senyü Rhutsu.
A total of 42 medical personnel, including 10 doctors, 26 paramedics from Putuonuo Hospital and private clinics, and six project staff from the Dr. K & T Keditsu Foundation, participated.
The camp was organised by the Dr. K & T Keditsu Foundation, a registered public charitable trust, in collaboration with the National Oral Health Programme (NOHP), Directorate of Health and Family Welfare, with support from the Biocon Foundation, Bengaluru, and Putuonuo Hospital, Kohima.
