Kohima, May 26 (EMN): Zakie rocked All Blacks as Merhülietsa FC showed their determination to defeat the league leaders with a stunning 5-3 win at D Khel ground Kohima on Friday.
Zakie ran riot as he completed his hat-trick in the 21st, 48th and 74th minute for MRH FC. Medo and Imti added one goal each making sure of the points after the interval.
For All Blacks, Renbemo assisted Weku to score in the 10th minute, and he later found the net in the 28th minute in the first half. Lawrence pulled one back more with four minutes remaining, but there was no comeback as MRH FC held on for the win.
Despite the defeat, All Blacks remained on top of the league with 28 points and three points ahead after Power Comm drew against Morning FC 2-2 on Thursday. Merhülietsa FC is in 5th position with 21 points of the Morning Premier League table.
The lone yellow card was awarded to Vasupra of All Blacks for a foul play during the match.
