Dimapur, Aug. 23 (EMN): More reports about the ongoing intensive Measles-Rubella vaccination campaign held in different district reached Eastern Mirror on Aug. 23.
Kiphire: The Block Task Force meeting on Measles-Rubella vaccination campaign (MRVC) for Seyochung and Sitimi block under Kiphire district was conducted on Aug. 22.
According to a press release from the board, the meeting was presided over by the chairman of the block Seyochung Nchumbemo. He briefed on the aims and objectives of the campaign and how to go about with the plans and implementations for the campaign and stressed on the orientation and sensitisation of teachers and parents to be initiated in all schools and villages under the block.
During the meeting, medical officer of Seyochung Primary Health Centre (PHC), Dr. Keviyani Chucha, highlighted on the roles and responsibilities of various departments and urged for full cooperation during the campaign.
Medical officer of Sitimi PHC, Dr. Holiba Anar, asked for quality data to be provided in order to achieve 100% coverage during the campaign.
The next block task force meeting has been scheduled on Sept. 13, the press release added.
Mon: An orientation/workshop on Measles-Rubella campaign was held at Council Hall, Mon for Aboi block where 22 vaccinators, 85 Teachers (headmaster/nodal person) and 89 ASHAs/AWWs attended the training. Dr. Shokwang MO PHC Chen, Dr. Elizabeth, MHT and Mewang Konyak coordinator SHG were the resource persons at the orientation programme, a DIPR news bulletin stated.
