Kohima, Feb. 13 (EMN): Morning Football Club (MFC) beat Merhulietsa (MRH) FC 4-1 at the ongoing Morning Premier League at Seikhazou ground, Kohima on Feb. 13.
Dikwa’s brace and a goal each from Akhrielie and Vizo in the first half handed the victory for MFC during the match against MRH FC.
In the match, Akhrielie opened the scoring for MFC in the 10th minute as they took the deserving lead, and within two minutes Dikwa found the back of the net as Vizo set him up to score the second. Vizo with his brilliance and assisted by Merang added the third goal in the 19th minute.
In 20 minutes time, MRH FC were three goals down but Diwka piled up the misery for the opponent as he scored his second goal in the 29th minute to end the first half with 4-0.
In the second half, MRH FC made a comeback with Kezha scoring the goal in the 64th minute but MFC defended the score as the match ended 4-1 in favour of MFC.
The win means Morning FC continued their good form this season to secure three points in the second match and now have six points on point tally, while MRH slumped to their first defeat of the season.
