The 3rd ‘Hornbill Riders Meet 2015’ a part of Hornbill festival calendar hosted by Nagaland Motorcycle Club (NMC) and supported by Tourism Department was flagged off this morning from Neingulie Memorial High School Khermahal Dimapur for onward journey to I.G.Stadium Kohima via Khonoma.
Early Monday morning saw over 150 enthusiastic Royal Enfield riders from the city and some decent number of Royal Enfield riders from Assam, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Nepal and South Indian states fervently waiting to take the ride.
Founding-Editor of Eastern Mirror Abu Metha prior to the flag off welcomed the guest participants from outside states to the land of festivals and expressed hope that they would have wonderful experience and memories to carry back home. Acknowledging state’s shortcomings which Nagaland has been known for all wrong things, Abu Metha assured the guest participants that the handshake extended by Nagaland will be from the heart.
While calling on the guest participants to identify the shortcomings of the state to their notice, Metha urged them to carry good things from Nagaland when they go back home, and become an ambassador of Nagaland to their home states.
Extending his support to the NMC members Metha expressed hope that such adventure would send a positive message across the country.
