Reverend Sr Cyrilla, Mother General and Reverend Sr Samina, Provincial of Franciscan Sisters of St. Mary of the Angels (FSMA) from Mumbai and Udaipur, Rajasthan are on a four-day official visit to Kidima Vegetable Village, some 32 km away from state capital Kohima, as part of their tour to North East India. The visit is part of an official mission for supervision and to oversee the Convents.
Reverend Sr Cyrilla, Mother General, expressed her joy and gratitude during her mission tour to Kidima Vegetable Village for their support and cooperation for humanity service. The progress of the Convent depends on people prayer, encouragement, inspiration and motivation of the priests and nuns, she said. The Mother General expressed her happiness for Sisters FSMA for putting in their best efforts to the village and cent percent pass percentage in St. Xavier’s School, Kidima in HSLC exam conducted by NBSE with distinction in various subjects.
The Mother General of FSMA while interacting with the people said more Convents will be opened in Nagaland with the consent of Bishop of Kohima Diocese. Education required the mixed culture with mutual between missionaries and laity people, Mother General added.
Fathers’ Day with Reverend Father Raymond D’Souza SJ, Director of Eden Garden, Khuzama as main celebrant along with Holy Trinity was observed with rest of the world today.
Father Raymond D’Souza said Holy Trinity is a religious ceremony that is complete with three persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit. D’Souza, while highlighting the love, care and merci of God to mankind, said a father of the family needs to bear the same responsibility. Father Raymond said mother and father are unique in the family.
This was sixth visit of Mother General and Provincial to the Convent of FSMA as an official trip.
Holy Eucharist celebration, interaction, fellowship meal were the highlights of the programme.
