Dimapur, April 8
As part of the malaria prevention efforts in Nagaland, the malaria department of the State Health and Family Welfare services distributed long-lasting insecticide treated mosquito nets to every household at Namgalong Colony, Rongmei Colony and Kevichusa Colony in Burma Camp, in Dimapur on Friday.
Namgalong Colony chairman Chingkhiulung Gonmei informed that as malaria was a serious problem to community’s health, the department which had earlier distributed mosquito nets, had ensured this time again that the nets were provided for free to all.
Residents of said colonies have expressed happiness and thanked the department for insecticide-treated mosquito nets, a note from the colony said on Friday.
