Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar served as the reviewing officer, in the presence of Lt. Gen. Vikas Lakhera, Director General of Assam Rifles.
Addressing the parade, Kumar said it was a matter of immense pride for him to review the oath-taking ceremony, which he described as a new chapter in the history of the Assam Rifles.

“By taking the oath today, you have become full-fledged soldiers. From today, a new life has begun for you,” he said.
The MoS reminded soldiers that most Assam Rifles battalions are engaged in counter-insurgency operations against insurgency and anti-national forces. He noted that their personnel have also established a distinct identity through notable contributions in Kashmir and United Nations Peacekeeping Missions.
He added that the new recruits are the jawans, of non-commissioned officers (NCOs), and junior commissioned officers (JCOs) of tomorrow, and some capable soldiers among them will also rise to become officers in the future.
“It is the duty of every soldier to always maintain the prestige of their force and their battalion and going forward, their conduct should be such that it enhances the honour of the force, the unit, and the uniform,” he said.
Kumar asserted that for a soldier, duty is the greatest religion, and they must never forget their oath and always be ready to serve the country. He noted that the standard of the parade was excellent, reflecting the complete dedication of the instructors.
He highlighted that the goal of the ARTC&S is to produce well-disciplined and strong soldiers and stated that the centre is performing this task effectively.
The MoS said that the Assam Rifles holds a special identity for its talent, pride, and excellent training. He expressed hope that in the future, the training centre will provide even better training to the jawans using new and modern methods.
He noted that the families of the recruits taking the oath today have high expectations, and the recruits must pay special attention to their progress in the future and properly fulfil their duties towards their families.
He further mentioned that under the leadership of the Prime Minister and the guidance of the Home Minister, special attention is being given to the multi-faceted development of the Central Armed Police Forces and to making them proficient in state-of-the-art technology.
During the parade, medals were presented to recruits who excelled in training. Vekhota Lohe was awarded Best in Physical, Wangkai received the award for Best in Drill, while Lalliankhaul was honoured with the award for Best in Firing and Overall Best Recruit.
