More organisations have condemned the assault on a second-year nursing student at District Hospital Dimapur on February 24 and expressed solidarity with the victim.

District Hospital Dimapur on February 24 and expressed solidarity with the
victim.
- In a condemnation note, the Unemployed Auxiliary Nursing
Midwife Association of Nagaland said that this kind of incident has no place in
institutions. The association also appealed to the law enforcement authorities
to investigate this matter thoroughly and take necessary legal action against
the perpetrator.
- It urged the concerned authorities of all hospitals and
institutions to take immediate measures to prevent such incidents in the
future, including but not limited to implementing stricter security protocols
and providing support and counselling services to the affected individual.
- The Nagaland Pradesh Mahila Congress Committee, expressing
deep shock, said such a heinous incident, taking place in a healthcare
institution meant to provide care and safety, is unacceptable and must be
condemned in the strongest terms. It added that the incident exposes serious
security failures.
- The office of the Sangtam Students’ Union Dimapur urged
every organisation and individual to stand together in fighting against such
crimes that have crept into society.
- The All Sümi Students' Union (SKK) stated that the victim
must receive all necessary support, including medical attention, counselling,
and protection, and added that the perpetrators must be held accountable.
- Condemning the incident, the Western Sumi Hoho urged the law
enforcement agency to take necessary steps to serve the befitting punishment to
the culprit and described the incident as a direct threat to our peace-loving
society.
