Dimapur, Feb. 14 (EMN): The women self help groups (SHG) of the Nagaland State Rural Livelihood (NSRLM) of Mon RD block has formed the block level federation (BLF), a higher level institution for the women groups, at DRDA resource centre on Feb. 9.
During the training and formation of block level federation, Project Director Wennyei Konyak, who is also the district mission manager, in his address said women should take up the NSRLM, a flagship government programme sincerely and actively.
He reminded that Mon block having been chosen as resource block of NSRLM in Mon district should produce successful qualities for other blocks to follow.
Resource persons for the training, ADPM Hangsa Konyak, BPM Yatao Konyak spoke on role, objectives and functions of the federation while District Coordinator Rajuselie Lhousa shared on financial institutions viable for rural people.
Office bearers elected for two years term will be headed by Esther Konyak as president, Rachel Konyak as vice president, Leijoi as general secretary, Ngapnon as assistant general secretary, P Zemyon as finance secretary and Pheiya as information secretary.
