Dimapur, July 30 (EMN): Mongsenyimti Senso Union Kohima (MSUK) and Mongsenyimti Fellowship Kohima felicitated Imlimerenla, the captain of U-15 girls’ football team from Nagaland that represented India in the recently concluded Gothia Cup in Sweden at the residence of Tongpang Ozukum, minister for Mechanical & Housing, government of Nagaland on Tuesday, July 30.
Tongpang Ozukum, while felicitating Imlimerenla-the young and rising football star, lauded her for bringing laurels not only to MSUK but the whole of Nagas’ through her participation and leading the team with her exemplary leadership skills on such a coveted international platform.
The minister also lauded the department of Youth Resources for taking positive steps in broadening the vista for sportspersons of the state by giving equal opportunity without gender bias. He also congratulated the youth resource department for successfully taking the young team to an international event, where it has earned accolades, both inside and outside the pitch. The minister was optimistic that the recent exploit of youth resources department will be the beginning of a new chapter and serve as an encouragement as they continue on their honourable quest to uplift the sportspersons of the state to the next level.
