Mon will meet Dimapur in the first quarter-final of the Dr. T Ao Trophy 2025, as eight districts battle for a spot in the semi-finals.

KOHIMA — With the culmination of the group stage rounds for the ongoing 24th Dr. T Ao Trophy at Indira Gandhi Stadium (IGS), Kohima, the quarter-final rounds will begin on Monday, August 11, wherein the first match will see Mon take on Dimapur at 1 pm.
The second match will be played between Chümoukedima and Niuland at 4 pm.
The third quarter-final match will be played on Tuesday, August 12, between Mokokchung and Peren at 1 pm, and the fourth match will be played between Kohima and Wokha at 4 pm.

The semi-finals are set for Wednesday, August 13, with the first match at 3 pm and the second match at 6 pm. The grand finale is set for August 15 at 6 pm.
Organised by the Nagaland Football Association (NFA) and hosted by the Kohima District Football Association (KDFA), the tournament had the participation of 17 districts vying for the championship.
With teams divided into four groups, Group A comprised Tuensang, Mon, Shamator, Niuland, and Zunheboto; Group B comprised Longleng, Chümoukedima, Noklak, and Dimapur; Group C comprised Mokokchung, Wokha, Phek, and Kiphire, while Group D comprised Peren, Kohima, Tseminyu, and Meluri.
The defending champion, Tuensang district, fell short in the points table and failed to make it through to the quarter-finals.
