Dimapur, August 1 (EMN): Accusing the action of Dr. Shurhozelie Liezietsu as ‘arbitrary and unconstitutional’ in dissolving some assembly constituency units of NPF in the State, four units from Mon districts have expressed dismay and sought reason on what ground the units were dissolved. NPF presidents of Wakching unit Woklang Konyak, Aboi unit Yongwem Konyak, Moka unit Pongtao Konyak, and Tobu unit Ngushu Konyak stated that the present situation in the State was purely on leadership crisis within the elected members of 12th House, to which the matter does not necessarily attract the organisational structure of the party to be shaken. The signatories regretted that Dr. Shurhozielie Liezietsu had taken extreme action over party at A/C levels for no tangible reason(s) to dissolve the organisational structure of good numbers of A/C units even when the party remained intact. It stated that its A/C units in particular had never stood in favour or against any of the leaders vying for top post under any circumstances during when the crisis erupted. They were, however, surprised to notice through social and electronic media of being dismissed as NPF units. “The role of the A/C units is not to elect the leader of the Legislature Party but our business is solely to elect the representative from party fold, but shifting charges as being responsible for present crisis within is uncalled for,” the release said. It, therefore, sought response from Dr. Shurhozelie Liezietsu to substantiate his stand on what ground the AC units of NPF were dissolved.
