Dimapur, Aug. 24 (EMN): The Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Mon, Nagaland conducted an intensive three-day training programme on “climate change and disaster management” for extension functionaries/ in- Service personnel and civil societies at KVK Conference Hall, Aboi and Angphang village from August 22 to 24, 2018.
A press release issued from KVK, Mon (Aboi), informed that during the three-day programme, the resource persons were Dr. Manoj Sing Sachan, asst. chief technical officer (Genetics and Plant Breeding) and Dr. Paihem Michui ACTO (Animal Science). The two resource persons delivered on various aspects in regard to climate change with special reference to modern agricultural livestock practices such as resource conservation technologies, climate resilient crop varieties, disaster management, afforestation, multiple and integrated framing system, poultry production and disease management in livestock.
Altogether, 37 persons were benefitted through the programme, the release stated.
