DIMAPUR — A total
of 3,45,110 tonnes of coal was produced from five districts in Nagaland namely
Mokokchung, Wokha, Tuensang, Mon and Longleng during the fiscal year 2021-2022.
According to the Nagaland Statistics Report 2022, Mon
district recorded the highest coal production during the fiscal year 2021-2022
with a total production of 96,950 tonnes, followed by Mokokchung with 78,500
tonnes. Longleng recorded a coal production of 76,400 tonnes followed by Wokha
with 53,260 tonnes and Tuensang with 40,000 tonnes.
The monthly production of coal in Nagaland was recorded
during January 2022 at an output of 37,000 tonnes.
Among the five districts, Mon recorded the highest monthly
coal production during the fiscal year 2021-2022 with 10,500 tonnes in January
2022, followed by Mokokchung with 8,000 tonnes in the same month.
Longleng recorded its highest coal production in February
2022 with 7,900 tonnes, while Wokha achieved its peak in January 2022 with
6,500 tonnes. Tuensang also recorded its highest output in January 2022,
producing 4,500 tonnes.
