Dimapur, March 27 (EMN): The district election officer of Mon Thavaseelan K held a meeting with micro observers of the district in connection with the Lok Sabha elections, on March 27 in Mon.
Updates from the IPR on Wednesday offered details about the meeting. Thavaseelan said that the micro observers are to work directly under the control and supervision of general observers. Micro observers have to reach the polling stations at least one hour before the commencement of the polls or otherwise in the evening, he said.
The officer highlighted different aspects of the election processes; operating of electronic voting machines; and the guidelines issued by the Elections Commission to micro observers; mock poll procedures; polling agents and entry pass system and access to polling stations; proper identification and recording procedures.
Further, he highlighted the format for feedback reports by micro observers that are to be submitted to the constituency observer after the polls, the IPR added.
