The longest-running annual event of the Mokokchung town, XXVII MusicFest 2018 under Mokokchung Town Baptist Church Youth Department (MTBA) is set to commence from August 2.
The theme for this year's two-day MusicFest is “Kotaker Yimyim.”
Artists from the town as well as from other districts will perform during the mega event. MusicFest is a platform for the young artists of the church who can exhibit their God's given talents at the same time an opportunity to witness and be encouraged by the performances of established musicians.
The Youth evangelist Monglier Tzudir is the convenor of the event.
During an interaction, Tzudir said that apart from giving a platform to the artists, MusicFest would inspire the youths to sing, write and listen to gospel music in the midst of many other genres.
The line-up for this edition of MusicFest has an eclectic mix of performers from the state and members from the youth departments.
Tzudir disclosed that unlike previous years, the organising committee is using the medium of social media to publicise the event in a large scale and that besides the soul nourishment in the form of good music, the audience will also stand a chance to win the XXVII MusisFest 2018 goodies.
Also, Tzudir welcomed the citizens of Mokokchung and the people who will visit the town for the Mini Hornbill Festival to join the celebration.
