DIMAPUR — The office of the Mokokchung Town Lanur Telongjem (Mokokchung Town Youth Organisation) (MTLT) was formally dedicated by Rev. Dr. Bendang Longkumer, the pastor of Artang Baptist Church, on Saturday, September 9.
The newly dedicated office, which includes a president's chamber, a general secretary's office, a media and publicity office, a conference hall, and a foyer, is located in the middle of town at Arkong Ward. According to a press release from MTLT, the office chambers were refurbished after the RTO, Mokokchung, relocated to its new building at Kumlong ward.
Before the dedicatory prayer, Rev. Longkumer exhorted the MTLT to always keep God first while working for the welfare of the people.
Speaking from 1 Corinthians 10:31, he encouraged the youth of Mokokchung to always do everything for the glory of God. Also quoting Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me...", he encouraged the MTLT to draw strength from the Lord so that they could be bold and stand in truth as they work for the people.

He said that it had to face hurdles during the early days, yet it was the prayers of the parents and the constant support of its members that sustained the telongjem thus far.
He lauded the present office bearers for taking on the task of a dedicated office in town. He also encouraged them to always put the welfare of the people first, to be bold, to stand for the truth, and to work for the general well-being of the people.
MTLT president Imnaonen Pongen thanked everyone who contributed to the establishment of the office chambers, which he said was critical for an organisation of the MTLT's stature, which stands on the motto "always vigilant." He also expressed his gratitude to the MTLT members and citizens who generously donated to the office's furnishing and appreciated the landlords for leasing the building.
The programme was presided over by general secretary Imkongchuba Pongen, while assistant general secretary Moarenba invoked God's blessings.
