MOKOKCHUNG — The Mokokchung Press Club (MPC) observed its 18th foundation day on June 6 by planting cherry blossom trees along the NH-702 D (Mongsenbai Road stretch) in Mokokchung town, continuing a beautification initiative that began eight years ago in 2018.
As part of the programme, members planted saplings along the highway stretch to promote environmental conservation and improve the visual appeal of a 'deserted section of road'.
The initiative aims to make the area greener while also encouraging public awareness on conservation and urban beautification in Mokokchung.
