Mokokchung, March 7 (EMN): National Science Day was observed at Children School, Mokokchung, on March 7, where students from Classes VIII-X partook in various science activities.
A press release from the school authority informed that three levels of competitions were conducted class wise. Students from Class VIII took part in essay competition on the topic “Science and technology for a sustainable future,” while students of Classes IX and X partook on group presentations and science exhibitions on the same topic.
Besides, the science teacher in-charge presented demonstration on living organisms with the help of a microscope and power-point representation on important scientific discoveries.
Meanwhile, the school management and staff have conveyed sincere appreciation to the Department of Science and Technology, Kohima, for providing the school with field laboratory kits and other science laboratory equipment for the successful observance of Science Day.
