Mokokchung, April 27 (EMN): Legislators from Mokokchung held a meeting with the district task force headed by the deputy commissioner of Mokokchung, Limawabang Jamir, at ADC Planning hall, Mokokchung on April 27.
The two legislatures -- minister for Housing and Mechanical, Tongpang Ozukum and Imnatiba, advisor to Industries and Commerce, Labour and Employment, Skill development and Entrepreneurship -- reviewed and discussed preparedness of the task force in the district in the eventuality of Covid-19 outbreak in the district.
Besides preparedness like Covid-19 hospital status, quarantine facilities and disposal of dead bodies, the house also discussed about the possible return of stranded citizens to the district.
Ozukum appealed to all the participants to contribute their best in ‘this extraordinary time’. He also assured that he along with his colleagues would pursue the grievances at higher level if there is any and asked the members to sensitise the general public, especially those in the rural areas on the dos and don’ts in the fight against the dreaded virus.
The meeting was also attended by representatives from Ao Senden, ABAM, and NGOs.
