Mokokchung district reviews health department activities

DIMAPUR — Mokokchung division of Health and Family Welfare Department held a review meeting relating to various health activities on September 10 under the chairmanship of the deputy commissioner of Mokokchung, Ajit Kumar Verma, at his office’s conference hall.

An update from the office of the chief medical officer (CMO), Mokokchung, stated that the chairman welcomed all the members and explained the purpose of the meeting better performance in the district. He encouraged convergence of vertical programmes as well as allied departmenta for delivery of community health services in order to achieve an upgrade in district performance.

He further lauded the members for their dedication and hard work of services for the welfare of community.

Dr. Sentizungla Marina Yaden, CMO Mokokchung, presented an overview of district challenges and issues that requires immediate attention.

It stated that all programme officers under the department of Health and Family Welfare, Mokokchung, made powerpoint presentation on the activities conducted as well as ongoing activities, challenges as well as suggestions for improving the overall performance in health sector of the district.
