DIMAPUR — The Mokokchung College of Teacher Education (MCTE), Yimyu, hosted its annual award ceremony-cum-advent Christmas celebration on the theme “Joy in expectation” on November 26.
According to an update, the programme began with an invocation by Dembo Longchar, followed by “My Christmas Story” shared by Zulumongla Jamir.
A key highlight of the event was the seasonal address delivered by Pastor Majem Longkumer, director of Shalom Ministry, Nagaland. Centring his message on the theme, he stated that true joy is deeply rooted not merely in celebration but in the hope, assurance, and promise of Christ’s coming. He reminded the gathering that ‘advent’ invites believers to wait joyfully, not passively, but with hearts prepared, grateful, and expectant.
