- DIMAPUR — The Mokokchung Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) has
seconded the demand of the Mokokchung District Truck Owners Association (MDTOA)
regarding the recent seizure of illicit liquor by Mokokchung Police and the
subsequent arrest of individuals allegedly involved in the case.
- It mentioned that according to a police statement dated
April 9, the police seized a truck bearing registration number NL 02 Q 6311 and
arrested two individuals—Dev Raj, identified as the alleged owner of the
illicit consignment, and Mahesh Siyag.
- The MCCI noted that, according to reports, the MDTOA has
demanded action against the owner of the truck involved in the case, Mohan Ram
Bhadu, who was not implicated in the initial police report.
- MCCI, therefore, urged the concerned authorities to consider
the issues raised by the MDTOA, conduct a thorough investigation, and clarify all
doubts so that justice prevails and the matter is brought to its logical
conclusion.
