
Dimapur, March 2 (EMN): The Modern Institute of Teacher Education (MITE) celebrated its 9th Foundation-cum-Cultural Day on March 2 with Nagaland state’s assistant director, directorate of School Education B Nellayappan as the special guest.
An update from the institute informed that Nellayappan announced in his speech that “directives will be given to Government Middle School and Government High School for B.Ed internship”. He also proposed to have a discussion with the principals of all B.Ed colleges in Nagaland to have a common format for internship.
The principal of MITE, Dr. Devanand Sinha, shared the significance of the foundation day and requested the special guest to provide financial support to the college.
The event was also witnessed by the managing director of MITE, along with the chairperson, A Kaisa Mao, wife of late Hekha Mao the founder of MITE.
The update informed that student-teachers performed several items like drama on impact of technology, medley, the Jungle Major and the Puppet Show on the auspicious occasion.
