Modern College students undergo internships in Kohima

DIMAPUR — The students of the Bachelor of Vocation in Retail Management at Modern College, Piphema, are undergoing internships as part of an internship programme for a period of one month in Kohima.

The internship period commenced on October 1 and will continue until October 31.

A press release from the college mentioned that internships, being a vital aspect where students learn practical knowledge and get on-the-job training, help them to sharpen skills, build confidence for communication, and gain valuable experience and exposure to the roles when hired.

The release further mentioned that internships offer students the chance to learn from their mistakes in a safe environment and give them a perspective on real life.

Reliance Trends, Toudi Enterprise, and Café Bella are the stores where the students are interning, and they are expected to improve their skills in retail management, training and development, customer service, inventory management, etc.
