Modern College organises webinar on Northeast literature

Dimapur, Nov. 20 (EMN): English department of Modern College Kohima organised a one-day national webinar on “Northeast literature: A response to post colonial political and social conflict” on November 20 with Dr. Vizovono Elizabeth and Dr. Vieo Pou as the speakers.

Dr. Elizabeth is currently an independent researcher and freelance editor. She spoke on the “Northeast women’s literary interventions into gendered violence: Breaking the shame in honesty," an update from the college stated. 

Dr. Pou is  an assistant professor of English in Shaeed Bhagat Singh College, University of Delhi. He spoke on “Northeast writings beyond the violence and exotic”.

It further stated that assistant professor of English Imlikokla moderated the webinar and HoD of English Watimongla delivered the welcome address.
