Model Christian College in Kohima hosts the sixth edition of the Inter-Collegiate Talent Hunt Phoenix
DIMAPUR — Model Christian College in Kohima organised the sixth edition of the Inter-Collegiate Talent Hunt Phoenix on Saturday theme "Eclectic Effervescent Effulgent".
According to an update, the event served as a platform enabling college students to showcase their creative excellence, innovation, and artistic expression, offering a total cash prize pool of INR 45,000.
The day commenced with an invocation by Managing Director SP Francis and a curtain-raiser speech by Miss Nagaland 2025 Linoka K Achumi, followed by a formal introduction of the judges.
The judges of the event were Ruopfuzhano Whiso, Miss Universe India fourth runner-up, model, host, and content creator; Sürhüveyi Tetseo, Managing Director of De Operettas Music Institute, Kohima; and Noune Khamo, freelance performer, singer, and educator.
The talent hunt featured a line-up of performances in various categories, including dance, solo, blindfold piano pieces, band, poetry declamation, and sign language interpretation. Over 20 participants representing various colleges from Kohima, Chümoukedima, and Dimapur competed.
The Sidewalk band from St. Joseph's College (Autonomous), Jakhama, secured the first position and walked away with a cash prize of INR 20,000. The second position was bagged by Tri-Ds from Kohima College with a cash award of INR 15,000, and the third position was secured by Kilini P Zhimo from Model Christian College with a cash award of INR 10,000.
Arenchenla Walling, winner of the first edition of Phoenix, performed her original compositions. The audience was also entertained by a rock performance from The Gears 5.1, winner of Season 7 inter-school Battle of the Bands.
