Moa Tangit Jamir from Dimapur has been declared as the winner of 'Make a Song' contest held as part of the NSACS LIFE NOW project with theme 'Yes Life, No HIV'.
The Richa Productions today launched the “Make a Song” contest targeting the gifted writers/singers/composers of today.
Nagaland State AIDS Control Society's LIFE NOW “Make a song” contest is a part of the NSACS LIFE NOW project - Yes Life, No HIV. The contest is said to be part of the educational campaign for the Youth.
It is literally a multimedia campaign spreading awareness through music, song writing, filmmaking, street art, poetry and more.
Moa Tangit Jamir was presented with a cash prize of Rs.5000/- as well as a music and video recording contract of his composed song with the Richa Productions.
The Production also gave away a cash prize of Rs.2000/- to Piketoli Yepthomi from Kohima who generated the most likes in Facebook during an online poll that which was open till March 23 midnight.
The production of the song seeks to create strong awareness of the message that the NSACS’s LIFE NOW project is keen on publicizing.
The selection of the best song entry was judged by three prominent musicians; Obed Kath, Kekhrie Ringa and Avilie Zinyü. The selection process was done based on three points, i.e, Vocal quality, Melody and Lyrics. The points were allotted on the scale of 10.
The Press conference for the announcement of the LIFE NOW “MAKE A SONG CONTEST” was attended by the NSACS officials, Richa Productions team, the judges of the contest and some participants.
The programme was held at Dream Café, Kohima. The music video of the best song entry entitled "Prayer" by Moa Tangit Jamir will officially be released online on March 30 midnight in the YouTube channel of Richa Productions.
