DIMAPUR — Arenmongla, an independent candidate contesting from Kumlong (ward 7) in the Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC) elections, urged the public to give her a chance to serve them at a declaration ceremony held on Tuesday at the Kumlong community ground in Mokokchung.
Arenmongla emphasised her slogan 'your vote for a better Kumlong' and encouraged all eligible voters to participate in the electoral process, according to an update.
The candidate explained her choice of the 'battery torchlight' symbol, citing its representation as a beacon of light. She pointed out that the torchlight requires a power source and urged citizens to be that essential 'battery' providing power for it.
