In an effort to educate and guide the students of GHSS, Half Nagarjan Dimapur, MMB Cyber School organised a 3-hour long interactive session on the cyber safety and career opportunities in the IT industry.
The session was divided into two parts, one for Arts students and the other for Science, with over 120 students in attendance, an update stated. The session was led by CEO of MMB Cyber School, Namang T Chang, and included a guest lecture by former IT teacher, Bendangyanger Jamir.
The session covered topics such as digital awareness, scopes of students in it sectors, cyber security, cyber bullying, frauds and scams related to scholarship and college admission, and the impact of the internet on students. One of the key highlights of the session was the emphasis on the scopes of Arts and Science students in the IT industry, it read.
With over 90,000 educated unemployed youths in the state, Namang T Chang stressed the importance of developing skills to increase employment opportunities and improve the state's economy. He also encouraged students to take up internships during their breaks from school to gain practical experience and enhance their career profiles.
"We believe that education should not be limited to just the classroom, but should extend to real-life experiences and practical learning," said Namang T Chang, according to the update.
