Kuzholuzo Nienu addressing the opening ceremony of the PASA
35th meet at Lozaphuhu village on Tuesday.
- KOHIMA — MLA and
leader of the NPF Legislature Party, Kuzholuzo Nienu, on Tuesday challenged the
youth to focus more on doing good and what is right rather than engaging in
wrong actions.
- Speaking as a special guest at the 35th meet of the Phek
Area Sports Association (PASA) in Lozaphuhu village, Nienu encouraged the
gathering to focus on the "work and eat" policy rather than the
"ask and eat" approach.
- He also emphasised the need for hard work, honesty in all
dealings, putting God first, being a true spiritual Christian, and promoting
God's kingdom.
- He observed that, in the end, what truly matters is saving
one's soul, as one's position, wealth, and knowledge will not grant eternal
life. He further stated that it is one's honesty, behaviour, approaches, and
humanitarian work that will matter.
- Earlier, the PASA president, Kudezo Vero, delivered the
presidential address, and greetings were conveyed by Ludoveyi Vero, president
of the Tizu Area Sports Association. Savoto Rhakho, games and sports secretary
of PASA, administered the oath to the participating teams.
- The meet will continue until January 25, with teams
competing in wrestling, arm wrestling, track and field events, and other games.
