MLA Imtichoba inaugurates GHS in Tuensang village

DIMAPUR — Member of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly (MLA), Imtichoba Chang, inaugurated the Government High School (GHS) in Tuensang village on Wednesday.
Speaking at the inaugural programme, Chang has acknowledged the chief minister of Nagaland, Dr. Neiphiu Rio; advisor of School Education; commissioner and secretary of School Education; district administration; DEO Tuensang; SMC and Tuensang Village Council (TVC) for their support in the process to upgrade the school from middle to high school.
He stated that the government finally responded to the urgent calls and sincere prayers of the people for upgrade of the school after 57 years of its establishment. Chang urged the village council to have ownership of the school and also act as guardian for the students and teachers coming from other villages.

The MLA also encouraged the teachers to be a beacon of hope for the students and also guide the students to bring laurel to the school.
Other highlights of the day included invocation prayer said by Noksensangla, assistant youth pastor of TSBL; welcome address by Mongko Chollan, chairman of SMC.
Short speeches were also delivered by Shelly Katiry, ADC of Tuensang; C Pongsu, president of CWS; Rose Ngullie, DEO of Tuensang; and B Kaimang, president of TVCU.
Message and dedicatory prayer was led by Rev. T Mongba, pastor of TSBL, and concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Yakchingsonla, teacher in-charge of GHS Tuensang village.
