
Dimapur, Oct. 23 (EMN): Modern Institute of Teacher Education (MITE) in Kohima undertook an outreach activity to create awareness on health and hygiene to Chedema village on October 22 on the theme ‘Be the change.’ The outreach activity was organised to enable the student-teachers develop awareness on community service and social responsibility.
An update from the institute stated that 71 student-teachers of semester-III held a formal programme at Chedema village cultural hall with the president and members of the youth organisation.
Later, the team was divided into four groups and participated in creating awareness on health and hygiene as well as cleanliness. It stated that the Chedema community also interacted with students on health and hygiene.
Report added that MITE principal, Dr. Kate Dandesh Kumar, and faculty, Limanenla Longkumer, have motivated the community people on health and hygiene.
