KOHIMA — The
Beauty and Aesthetic Society of Nagaland (BASN) on Thursday announced that the
first official Miss Universe Nagaland 2025 pageant will be held on June 11,
2025 at RCEMPA in Kohima, whereby the winner will represent Nagaland for the
upcoming Miss Universe India 2025 competition scheduled to be held later this
year.
Informing this during a press conference at Symphony café,
Kohima, the BASN officials shared that unlike last year, this year’s selection
will not just be an open audition but an event would be organised after an
audition.
It may be mentioned that last year they did not host any
official pageant where Miss Universe Nagaland 2024 Ruopfuzhano Whiso, who
represented the state, was selected through an audition.
This year, the organisers decided to host the pageant after
seeing many interested candidates coming forward in beauty pageants.
They also announced that Rhea Singha, Miss Universe India
2024 will be coming to the finale on June 11 as one of the guest judges.
Tourism department of Nagaland is one of their official
partners for Miss Universe Nagaland 2025, with Task Force for Music and Arts
(TaFMA) as their official venue partner for the main event.
The audition for Miss Universe Nagaland will be held on May
17 at Westside, Aramile in Dimapur from 12 pm onwards.
All the participating candidates should be 18 years and
above while no height criterion was mentioned for the audition.
For the dress code, denim shorts with white tank top, black
bodycon cocktail dress (which has to be above the knee), stilettos (no block
heels will be allowed during the audition), and basic hair and makeup for the
girls who are coming for the audition is necessary.
The organisers further informed that the audition is open to
all including freshers.
They maintained that they have already received a lot of
applicants for the audition, but they will also be opening spot registration
for those who are still interested.For
spot registration, interested candidates have been advised to reach the venue
by 10 am.
Registration fees for independent candidates would be INR
1000, while those participating through the BASN district partners would be
sponsored by the society itself.
