"I believe in the power of representation and being able to represent my beautiful state Nagaland is a wonderful privileged, and I would love to represent our state, the strength of our people, the diversity here in our state, and proudly take forward our traditions and culture to the national stage", Dawhuo said in an interaction with media persons after the send off service.
With various classes and trainings including communication skills and grooming sessions, Dawhuo shared that with the help, advises, professional classes and mentors, she will be representing the state at the national level.
As a student (Bachelor of Arts second year) and a beauty queen, she acknowledged the challenges of managing her life but she is focussing on her time management to carry out both the responsibilities effectively.
With Roupfuzhano Whiso being crowned Miss Universe India fourth runner-up in 2024, she said there has been a lot of expectations from the people, which is pressuring her. But with the advices, guidance and practices that she is exposed to, she expressed confidence in following her legacy.
To her, pageantry is something she has always been passionate about ever since she was a child. Today, for her, it is a dream come true.
She encouraged others to follow their dreams while adding that dreams add magic to life. The one cause that she chooses to advocate throughout her pageantry journey is girl child education, the project which would be executing once she comes back from the competition.
For the traditional dress round, she explained that she would be wearing a piece from her community, Chakhesang inspired by a goddess from a folktale.
She wishes to highlight the strength of a Naga woman: The strength where even after facing all the hardships in, they have the courage, the power to always rise up, and still continue with life.
