
Fourteen contestants have been selected to vie for Miss Nagaland 2019 title at a beauty pageant scheduled to be held from 6 pm onwards on December 9 at Regional Centre of Excellence for Music & Performing Arts (RCEMPA). This was announced by the Beauty & Aesthetics Society of Nagaland (BASN) at a press conference held at Symphony Café, Kohima, on Nov. 29.
The Beauty & Aesthetics Society of Nagaland informed that more than 50 girls were selected through auditions held in various districts of the state. However, only 11 of them were selected from the auditions besides three district title winners, taking the total to 14.
This year’s state pageant is the 31st edition. Grooming session will start from Dec. 2 till the 8th. The contestants will be groomed by Chow Poran J Gogoi, Beauty Pageant Coach & Fashion Choreographer & Talent Promoter North East India.
Resource persons for the grooming period are Theyiesinuo Keditsu, Co-Founder of Centre for Indigenous Knowledge & Alternative Learning (CIKAL); and Nouneno Chase, Head, Training and Development, YouthNet and Global Shappers.
The organisers informed that INR 3.2 lakh prize money along with gift hampers are in line for the winners and other subtitle winners.
Tickets for the finale have been fixed at INR 500 and INR 1000 which will be available at the venue.
