Minor girl raped; one of the accused held in Dimapur

(EM Images)[/caption] Our Correspondent Diphu, Sep. 19 (EMN):  Three persons involved in the gang rape of a minor girl in Diphu were arrested from Dimapur, Nagaland and Manja area on Thursday. According to police sources, one of the accused persons Tendon Ingti (29) was hiding at 6th Mile in Dimapur but was caught after police traced his cell phone. The two other accused persons, Chesong Ingti (19) and Birsing Bey (19), were caught at Manja area. “On the night of September 17, we got information that a minor has been admitted to Diphu Civil Hospital after she was gang raped. The incident happened between 12 noon and 4 pm on September 17. The place of incident was at Basic LP School colony, Diphu,” DSP (Headquarter) N Karishma told reporters. A case against the three arrested persons has been registered at Diphu police station. They were later sent to judicial remand. According to the DSP (HQ), the arrests were possible due to the coordinated efforts of Diphu, Manja and Dimapur police.
