Dimapur, Nov. 23 (EMN): A minor girl of 13 years studying in Class V was allegedly raped by Myanmar Tatmadaw (Military personnel) in broad daylight on November 10 at Lahe town of Naga self administered zone in Upper Sagaing division, Myanmar. In a delayed report, official of the Naga Students and Youth Federation (NSYF), apex body of Naga students and youth, Thongtsühmiu Jongs Isidore stated that its executive council members along with civil society organisations from every tribal rushed to the spot on November 18 for fact finding right after its general conference held at Zingkaling Khamti from November 14 to 17. The report stated that NSYF has vehemently condemned the cruel act of Myanmar military personnel and decided to stands by the rights of the victim until justice is delivered as per the existing law. NSYF also made it clear to the concerned authorities that delay or failing to deliver justice would lead to unwanted circumstances among ethnic minorities and the government.
