Dimapur, November 23: The All Nagaland District Ministerial Service Association (ANDMSA) has informed of state-wide agitations to seek fulfilment of a number of demands to the state government. The organization issued a press release to the media on Wednesday asking its units to be prepared for agitations. The association has decided to undertake phase wise agitations all over the state, the press release stated. The press release expressed resentment for what it called the failure of the government in ‘not acceding of the genuine demand’ of the group. The demands include, according to the statement, amalgamation of the directorate and district ministerial cadre into a common ministerial cadre “as recruitment policy and criteria of both the cadre are same.” Another demand is elevation of ‘HA/Sr. HA’ to that of district superintendent class-I and ‘SDHA’ to that of class-II. Likewise, another demand is for creation of district superintendent class-I and assistant district superintendent class-II posts in all the independent ‘DDOs’ of districts and sub-divisions, the press release read. “Therefore, all the district units of the ANDMSA are hereby directed to be prepared for any eventuality. Further, request upon the general public to bear with the inconvenience,” the press release added.
