- DIMAPUR — Longting
Baptist Church (LBC) celebrated its golden jubilee on the theme "Liberty
in Christ" at Longting village on December 20, with the Minister of Health
and Family Welfare, P Paiwang Konyak, in attendance.
- Speaking on the occasion, Paiwang congratulated the LBC,
stating that it was a testament to the enduring faith, tireless dedication, and
divine blessings that have sustained the church and its community over the past
five decades.
- The minister asserted that, over the past fifty years, LBC
has become a beacon of hope, a wellspring of love, and a cornerstone of the
community. He also paid tribute to the spiritual leaders, laypeople, and every
member who has contributed to the journey, whether through prayers, teaching,
service, or acts of kindness, stating that each one of them has played a vital
role in making the church a home for all who seek God.
- With the celebration, he urged the congregation to look
forward with renewed zeal, adding that the Golden Jubilee is not the end of the
journey but a glorious reminder to press on with faith, courage, and unity.
- Paiwang called upon the congregation to be inspired to
continue building a community that mirrors the love, justice, and peace of
Christ.
