Minister Kruse attends WASU’s 46th general convention

- KOHIMA — The 46th
general convention of the Western Angami Students' Union (WASU) was held at
Kiruphema Ground on Saturday, themed "Viketakezo."
- It was attended by Salhoutuonuo Kruse, Minister of Women
Resource Development and Horticulture, as the special guest.
- In her address, the minister encouraged students to put in
their best efforts in all aspects of life. She emphasised that students are the
future and urged them to work hard and strive for excellence in their
endeavours.
- She highlighted that hard work, dedication, and sincerity in
one's chosen field are essential for progress. "Without genuine effort,
progress cannot be achieved," she stated.
- The minister further stressed that the future of the nation
depends on its students, who must not only learn for themselves but also
prepare to take responsibility for society, bring about positive changes, and
make the country a better place.
- She lauded the WASU team for their initiative in launching
the Education Hub programme, which aims to provide quality education, skill
development, career guidance seminars, and academic support for the welfare of
students.
- The second session was attended by Ketusielie Kuotsu, Joint
Director of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, as the guest of honour. The
announcement of new office bearers was conducted by Bisevi Nakhro, convenor of
the nomination committee.
