
The minister took stock of the development of the new college site and briefed on the need to have proper coordination with the local MLA and stakeholders for bringing up a good college in the sub-division, a DIRP report stated.
The college in an update also informed that the main purpose of their visit was to inspect the new college campus, its ongoing work construction and also to survey the possibility of introducing Science stream in the near future.
The minister in his interaction exhorted the college authority to prepare well for the upcoming second cycle of NAAC assessment, which is due next year. Along also assured to provide financial assistance to the college for repair and upgrade works in the college.

Dr. Mero expressed gratitude to the minister for his constant support and requested for further initiatives from Along’s side for the uplift of the college and also the potential of tourism in Pfutsero.
Earlier, principal of Pfutsero Government College, Prof. B Khing highlighted the various activities of the college and also the status of NAAC accreditation.
The minister was accompanied by Wanpong Konyak, Chairman of Bio Resources Mission; Kenilo Apon, Commissioner& Secretary; Additional Director of Tourism and a host of government officials and party leaders.
