ChhatraSansad India Conclave.
- DIMAPUR — Minister
of Higher Education and Tourism, Temjen Imna Along, has emphasised inclusivity,
national unity and transformative journey of India towards becoming a developed
nation. According to him, true development is not merely about infrastructure
but about a change in mindset and inclusivity.
- He stated this during the 8th ChhatraSansad India Conclave,
a landmark event organised in collaboration between ChhatraSansad India (CSI)
and Lovely Professional University (LPU), Punjab, which brought together over
20,000 young minds in an inspiring discourse on Vision India 2047: Bharat @
100.
- “A nation is not built by mere buildings and roads but by
evolving thought processes and unity in diversity. We may have different foods,
cultures and appearances, but at heart we are all Indians. It is this unity
that will drive us towards becoming a developed nation,” Along said.
- The minister expressed his admiration for LPU’s diverse
student community, particularly highlighting the presence of over 3,000
students from the northeast region. He noted that it reflects the university’s
stellar reputation and India’s growing inclusivity.
- “I was surprised and delighted to see that more than 3,000
students from the Northeast are studying here at LPU. This speaks volumes about
the university’s reputation and the welcoming environment it fosters. It is
heartening to see how people from the Northeast, who earlier hesitated to step
out, are now traveling far from their hometowns to pursue education. This, in
itself, is a testament to the vision of Viksit Bharat,” he added.

conclave featured an illustrious lineup of dignitaries who engaged with the
youth, sharing insights on leadership, innovation and national progress.

innovation, discipline and active participation in India’s ongoing digital
revolution. They urged the younger generation to take ownership of the nation’s
