A mid-career training program for Nagaland Secretariat Service officers concludes at the Administrative Training Institute.

DIMAPUR — A valedictory programme for the mid-career training for officers of the Nagaland Secretariat Service (NSS) was held at the Administrative Training Institute (ATI), Kohima, on May 8.
According to a DIPR report, the training programme was held from April 27 to May 8, during which 23 junior section officers successfully completed the course.
Sharing their experiences, the officer trainees commented that the training had given them the confidence to move ahead and motivation to perform better.
Addressing the gathering as the special guest, V Shashank Shekhar, Additional Chief Secretary and Agriculture Production Commissioner (APC), who is also the Director General of ATI, pointed out the importance of training by reminding the officer trainees that learning is a continuous process. He stated that society greatly benefits when the government system functions well.

He further mentioned that the NSS, serving as the backbone in the secretariat, plays a very important role in government machinery and that society has placed a big responsibility on the officers.
The special guest called upon all the officers to individually and collectively stay away from corruption and nepotism, maintain ethics and integrity, and strive towards the efficient and timely delivery of services in the workplace.
The valedictory programme was chaired by Lecturer Peter Konyak, while a brief report on the training was delivered by Deputy Secretary and Course Coordinator Asalie Lese.
The programme was also attended by joint directors N Moa Longkumer and Kaholi Sema and Deputy Director Imlibenla Jamir.
